FINANCIAL REPORT; As attached
below is the financial report of the Association for the current season just completed.
Our Auditor for the year was K & J Consultants 2007.
As in line with the previous year there was no payment for the travel costs for
our representative players with all of them paying their own way to the rep games.

PRESIDENTS REPORT;
Our President T. Landon –Lane reported to the
meeting
I would like to thank the committee and all those who have helped in any way with
the competition and tournaments.
Congratulations to the winners of the competitions.
An excellent year for the rep teams in 2007 who won every trophy contested for. Well done to all of you.
If we continue to improve and build a strong competition we can again contest the
South Islands with the confidence that we can hold our own.
On behalf of the Association, I would like to wish Greg Croudis all the best with
his move to Christchurch.

The following remits were written up on a white board and people had the option
to speak on any and all of then and then they were put to the members
1.
“Swap to a points basis for interclub”
4 points for a win, 2 points for a draw and 1 point for 8/7 loss.
There was much discussion and the members
felt that they may loose their individual points for the game but after being assured
that this would not be the case the remit was put to the vote –

2, “That we need a separate
disputes committee to handle any results problems that the teams may have”
3 people would be ideal for this committee –
Nominated for these positions were Greg Paul, Nicole Chauval,
Ross Paton, Mike Van Loon, and Owen Gray.
After 2 votes the results were N. Chauval, 21, M. Van Loon 20. Owen Gray 20, R.
Paton 15, and Greg Paul 12. We hereby
advise that Chauval, Van Loon and Gray are elected.

a different night later this season.

you want Marlborough Pool to be in
the next 10 years? – this was a question for the members to take on board and give
it some thought as to the options that they may come up with
