PREVIOUS MINUTES; The minutes of the meeting of 15th September, 2008 were
distributed to the committee and confirmed as a true and correct

Max Lingman didn’t turn up for Seddon shield.

Brent Simmons was on hand to explain his reason for the problem in Nelson. Barry Gane’s letter outlined how the problem happened. Hopefully this problem will resolve itself in the near future
The captain of the Women’s A team reported that the girls played on with good spirit and handled themselves wonderfully. They played convincingly and came out the winners on the day.
The Men’s team report - The players did well and tied for the first place which was lost in a playoff of only 1 frame after all the matches had been best of 3. We took 6 trophies and returned with 6 trophies so that is good.
S/SHIELD REPORT; Playoffs in future will be the best of 3 – the same format as the competition. Stalemated Rules – these are being looked at and we will hopefully have answers in the new year.
The Draw was done at the meeting – Marlborough drew the same spot for next year as we had this time.
Prices required for accommodation in Hokitika for next September – The tournament has to be held in September and the host association can fix the date.

Uniforms are now required for the teams – We can’t outfit in waistcoats when we have Nelson – Marlborough challenge any more .
