1. A break can be made directly off a cushion. See Rule 2
2. Two numbered balls must hit the cushion off the break shot. If they do not restack and break again.
3.When racking balls for break. no1 and no.15 are to be in opposite bottom corners of the triangle
4.Foul shot rule does not apply to the break shot only (except rule 5) if overs or unders potted off the break. Player can nominate under or over and carries on
5. Should a numbered ball be knocked off the table on the break ball goes on the spot. Foul shot applies
6. Ball off table: If the black loss of game. Opponent's ball goes down the pocket. players own ball is placed on the spot or near to it provided it does not obstruck opponents ball, if so it is to be placed at centre of back cushion break ends and foul shot applies
7. White ball off table: foul shot applies restart from the D
8. Ball touching the white foul shot applies only if the ball moves
9. Balls Accidently moved Foul Shot applies
10. Fouls on all balls miscueing touching balls with clothing or cue etc.. Jump Shots : Penalty is next shot one free shot to opponent
11. Black ball is not neutral and can only be played in it's proper turn or as per foul snooker rule (26) when a free ball is taken
12. Own ball must be played at all times - deliberately playing white ball onto black or opponent's means loss of game (except rule 13)
13. Impossible snooker (umpire to define) player may play opponents ball but concedes one free shot and ends break
14. Dead Ball: if any ball falls into a pocket without being struck it will be replaced in its original position. This includes the Black no penalty applies
15. Pocketing opponents ball Break ends and foul shot applies
16. Pocketing the white ball (in off) Break ends and foul shot applies
17. Follow on : In the event of a player missing a ball or causing a foul shot (except on black ball) opponent can nominate player to play again from where the white rests
18. If a player snookers himself on the black he must play the black Any foul means loss of game
19. If a player pots the black ball before all of his numbered balls or causes any foul while playing the black loss of game
20. If when on the black a player is snookered by his opponent he may nominate an opponents ball to pot the black to win the game Failure to hit the nominated ball with the white is loss of game ( Snookered means he cannot play both sides)
21. Potting nominated ball loss of game
22. Unless from a foul shot the cushion is not an obstruction and the object ball is to be played. The free shot rule applies to all fouls except on the black ball which is loss of game
23. Time Limit a player has 60 seconds to play his shot at the umpires discretion or foul shot applies
24. Disputes team captains to meet if not happy with umpires decision etc.
25. Teams must be played in the order written on the playing card. Singles games must be played in the same order as set out for the doubles.
26. Foul Snooker: If a player is snookered (as per Rule 20) following a foul shot he may, on his free shot. choose a free ball i.e. opponents ball or the black ball. He may pot an opponent's and then continue to take his next shot. NB player must nominate any such shot. Black ball if used must not be potted.
27. Any foul caused by means beyond a players control involving movement of more than one ball. Balls are to be restacked and frame replayed.
28. The draws for teams and tables are to be done by team captains before the commencement of play on the day of the tournament.
29. In the event of 2 teams being tied on the same number of points at end of tournament. i.e. two mens teams or two womens teams, the team captains will deligate 1 player from each team to play one frame to decide the winning team.
30. Coaching: There must be NO coaching by any person other than in doubles games when partners may confer BEFORE ADDRESSING THE TABLE after which there will be no coaching or communication between partners untill the end of the break. First offence foul shot applies second offence loss of frame.
